CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: Transportar 900 m3/h de agua de mar desde la piscina de almacenamiento del proyecto Fase I, hasta la piscina acumuladora en Chinquiquiray de 24.500 [m3] para un trazado total de 20 km. / Transporting 900 m3/h of seawater from the storage pool of the Phase I project, to the accumulating pool at Chiquiquiray of 24,500 (m3) for a total layout of 20 km.

UBICACIÓN / LOCATION: a 58 km al Noreste de la ciudad de Iquique, en la Comuna de Huara, provincia del Tamarugal, Región de Tarapacá, distante a 1.861 km al norte de Santiago. / 58 km northeast of the city of Iquique, in the Huara commune, Tamarugal province, Tarapaca region, 1,861 km north of Santiago.

INVERSIÓN ESTIMADA / ESTIMATED INVESTMENT: MMUS$ 5,5 /US$5.5 million

ESTADO ACTUAL DEL PROYECTO / CURRENT STATE OF PROJECT: En construcción. La fase de construcción se estima en un período de dos meses y la operación se extendería durante 20 años. / Under construction. The construction stage is estimated in a two-month period and the operation would last for 20 years.

CAPACIDAD DE GENERACIÓN DE EMPLEO / EMPLOYMENT GENERATION CAPACITY: Para la fase de construcción se requieren 30 trabajadores, mientras que para la operación se necesitan dos personas. / 30 workers are required for the construction stage, while two people will be needed for the operation stage.

2.- PROYECTO/Project: Proyecto Norte-Norte Producción de Yodo Pampa Chiza / Iodine Production Norte-Norte Project Pampa Chiza

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: Construcción y operación de las instalaciones industriales necesarias para producir 2.500 toneladas por año de yodo metálico, mediante el procesamiento de reservas de caliche que se encuentran en concesiones de explotación en el sector de Pampa Chiza. / Construction and operation of the necessary industrial facilities to produce 2,500 tons per year of metallic iodine, through the processing of caliche reserves under exploitation concessions in the Pampa Chiza sector.

UBICACIÓN / LOCATION: A 150 km al sureste de la ciudad de Arica y a 110 km de la localidad de Huara, sector de Pampa Chiza, comuna de Huara, provincia del Tamarugal, en la Región de Tarapacá, distante a 1.861 km al norte de Santiago. / 150 km southeast of the city of Arica and 110 km from the town of Huara, Pampa Chiza sector, Huara commune, Tamarugal province, in the Tarapaca region, 1,861 km north of Santiago.

CAPACIDAD DE GENERACIÓN DE EMPLEO / EMPLOYMENT GENERATION CAPACITY: En la fase de construcción se requiere un promedio de 400 y un máximo de 500 trabajadores, mientras que para la operación se necesitan entre 400 y 500 personas. / An average of 400 workers, and a maximum of 500, is required for the construction stage, while between 400 and 500 people are needed for the operation.
