CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: Permitirá ofrecer una salida portuaria al mineral de hierro producido por Minera Santa Fe en sus distintas faenas mineras, principalmente el concentrado fino proveniente de Mina Carmen. No obstante, se pretende que el proyecto provea una salida portuaria a diversas operaciones de minería de hierro por parte de terceros en la Región, que cuenten con los respectivos permisos ambientales para transportar su mineral. / It will allow offering a port exit to the iron ore produced by Minera Santa Fe at its different sites, especially the fine concentrate coming from the Carmen Mine. However, the project is expected to provide a port exit to different iron mining operations of third parties in the Region, who have the respective environmental permits to transport their mineral.

UBICACIÓN / LOCATION: Sector Punta las Ánimas, a 10 km al sur de la ciudad de Chañaral, Región de Atacama, distante a 807 km al norte de Santiago. / Punta Las Animas sector, 10 km south of the city of Chañaral, Atacama Region, 807 km north of Santiago.

CAPACIDAD DE GENERACIÓN DE EMPLEO / EMPLOYMENT GENERATION CAPACITY: Durante la construcción se requerirán en promedio 450 trabajadores y un máximo de 500, mientras que en la operación serán necesarias 40 personas. / An average of 450 workers, and a maximum of 500, will be required for the construction stage, while 40 people will be needed for the operation stage.
