 1.- PROYECTO/Project: Expansión Andina-Desarrollo Futuro Andina (Proyecto estructural) / Andina Expansion – Future Development of Andina (Structural development)

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: Este proyecto contempla una inversión muy menor a Andina 244, para pasar desde las 94 ktpd alcanzadas con el PDA Fase I a 150 ktpd nominales. Para los primeros 30 años de operación, en una producción adicional de 150 a 160 ktpa de cobre fino, lo que llevaría a División Andina a producir cerca de 400 ktpa de cobre fino y extenderá su vida útil hasta el 2085. Las labores más importantes de este proyecto se asocian a la ampliación de la mina rajo e infraestructura minera, del sistema de transporte de mineral, nueva planta concentradora, nueva canaleta de transporte de relaves y un sistema de recirculación de agua desde el tranque. / This project contemplates an investment much smaller than Andina 244, to go from the 94 ktpd reached with the Phase I PDA to 150 nominal ktpd. For the first 30 years of operation, in an additional production of 150 to 160 kpty of fine copper, which would lead Andina Division to produce close to 400 ktpy of fine copper and will prolong its useful life until the year 2085. The most relevant works of this project are associated to the expansion of the pit mine and mining infrastructure of the mineral transportation system, new concentrator plant, new gutter for the transportation of tailings and a water recirculation system from the reservoir.

ESTADO ACTUAL DEL PROYECTO / CURRENT STATE OF PROJECT: Iniciada la etapa de pre factibilidad del nuevo proyecto, para posteriormente ingresar el nuevo EIA al sistema, esto no antes de 2018. Puesta en marcha estimada, hacia 2024. / The pre-feasibility stage of the new project has already started to later enter the new EIA to the system, not before 2018. Implementation estimated for 2024.

2.- PROYECTO/Project:Nuevo Traspaso Rajo-Planta (proyecto estructural CODELCO Div. Andina ) / New Pit-Plant Transfer (structural project CODELCO Andina Division)

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: El proyecto Nuevo Sistema de Chancado Primario consiste en la construcción de una nueva línea de chancado, para mantener la actual capacidad productiva de Andina, que bordea las 94 mil toneladas de mineral diarias, generando cerca de 240 mil toneladas al año de cobre fino, más una producción de molibdeno de 3,9 toneladas. Las obras contemplan la construcción de la plataforma en el Nodo 3.500, un sistema de protección de avalanchas, el montaje de un nuevo chancador primarios, la construcción del túnel correa Haulage III, el sistema de distribución y alimentación tolva SAG y la nueva planta de chancado secundario. Ello permitirá extender la vida útil del rajo hasta el 2033 y permitir el desarrollo de Nueva Andina Fase II. Otra innovación de este proyecto consiste en la instalación de un sistema de control de avalanchas para resguardar las instalaciones contempladas y a trabajadores. / The New Primary Crushing System project consists of the construction of a new crushing line to maintain the current productive capacity of Adina, which is about 94,000 daily tons of mineral, generating close to 240 thousand tons per year of fine copper, plus a molybdenum production of 3.9 tons. The works contemplate the construction of a platform in Node 3,500, an avalanche protection system, the assembly of a new primary crusher, the construction of the Haulage III belt tunnel, distribution system and SAG feeding chute and the new secondary crushing plant. This will allow extending the pit’s useful life until the year 2033 and allowing the development of Phase II Nueva Andina. Another innovation of this project consists of the installation of an avalanche control system to shield the contemplated facilities and the workers.
