1.- PROYECTO/Project: Diego de Almagro

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: Explotación y el beneficio de minerales y la producción y comercialización de cátodos y concentrado de cobre, llegando a procesar del orden de 100 Mt de mineral durante su vida útil, la que se extendería 13 años. Los óxidos del yacimiento serán procesados en una planta de lixiviación, extracción por solventes y electro-obtención (Lx-Sx-Ew) para producir alrededor de 11 mil toneladas de cátodos SxEw por año. Los sulfuros, en cambio, serán procesados en una planta concentradora a razón de 30 mil toneladas por día para alcanzar una producción de 22 mil toneladas por año de cobre fino en concentrado. El proyecto considera la captación de agua de mar y la conducción de ésta, sin desalinizar, mediante un acueducto hasta las instalaciones del proyecto. / Exploitation and smelting of the minerals and the production and marketing of copper cathodes and concentrates, processing about 100 MT of mineral during its useful life, which extend in 13 years. The oxides of the deposit will be processed at a leaching, solvent extraction and electro-winning plant (Lx-Sx-Ew) to produce about 11,000 tons of SxEw cathodes per year. The sulfides, on the other hand, will be processed at a concentrator plant at a rate of 30,000 tons per day to reach a production of 22,000 tons per year of fine concentrate copper. The project considers the capture of seawater and its driving, not desalinated, through an aqueduct to the project’s facilities.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: Reconstrucción de la mina de oro, plata y cobre. Construcción de una planta de flotación y ampliación del campamento existente. / Reconstruction of the gold, silver and copper mine. Construction of a floatation plant and expansion of the existing camp.
