CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: Este proyecto considera la explotación de mineral de sulfuros a contar del año 2021 en la actual operación de Mantoverde, ubicada en la Región de Atacama. El desarrollo del proyecto permitirá obtener una producción entre 80 mil y 90 mil toneladas anuales de cobre fino, y además 28 mil onzas anuales de oro. El proyecto contempla la construcción de una planta concentradora y un depósito de relaves, permitiendo extender la vida útil de Manto Verde hasta el año 2029. / This project considers the exploitation of sulfide ore starting in the year 2021 in the current operation of Mantoverde, located in the Atacama Region. The project’s development will allow obtaining a production between 80 thousand and 90 thousand annual tons of fine copper, as well as 28 thousand annual ounces of gold. The project contemplates the construction of a concentrator plant and a tailings deposit,, allowing the extending Mantoverde’s useful life until 2029.

ESTADO ACTUAL DEL PROYECTO / CURRENT STATE OF PROJECT: En ingeniería de prefactibilidad. En julio comenzará la factibilidad. Proyecto ingresó su EIA al sistema, pero luego lo desistió sin explicaciones claras de la compañía. Se espera comenzar la construcción hacia el 2018. Puesta en marcha hacia 2021. / In prefeasibility engineering. Feasibility will begin in July. The project entered its EIA to the system, but it was later withdrawn without any clear explanation from the company. The construction is expected to begin in 2018. Implementation in 2021.

2.- PROYECTO/Project: Continuidad Operacional Mantoverde

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PROYECTO / PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS: Este proyecto considera incorporar la explotación de los Rajos Kuroki Fase III, Celso y Antena o Expansión MV a las operaciones normales de la Faena Mantoverde, con el objetivo de dar continuidad a las operaciones actuales de esta división y asegurar el abastecimiento a su planta de beneficio. El proyecto contempla además desarrollar la Fase IV del Dump Sur, ampliar el botadero de ripios lixiviados y ampliar obras menores (oficinas, campamento, taller, planta de tratamiento de aguas servidas y un nuevo relleno sanitario).La extracción de minerales desde estos nuevos yacimientos será a rajo abierto. / This project considers incorporating the exploitation of the Phase III Kuroki, Celso and Antena Pits or MV Expansion to the normal operations of the Mantoverde site, with the purpose of giving continuity to the current operations of this division and guaranteeing the supply to its smelting plant. The project also contemplates developing Phase IV of the Dump Sur, expanding the leached rubble dump and expanding small works (offices, camp, workshops, sewage treatment plant and a new landfill). It will be an open-pit extraction of the minerals.

CAPACIDAD DE GENERACIÓN DE EMPLEO / EMPLOYMENT GENERATION CAPACITY: Para las fases de construcción y operación se estima un promedio de 188 trabajadores y un máximo de 200, mientras que para el cierre o abandono la media es de 40 personas y el máximo de 50. / An average of 188 workers, and a maximum of 200, is considered for the construction and operation stages, while for the closing or closure, the average is 40 people and a maximum of 50.
